Starting from Tani Jubar lake to Hatu peak Narkanda has many tourist places to visit.

Hatu peak

Hatu peak is the most popular among all tourist spots of Narkanda. Hatu peak delivers a spectacular view of Himalayan mountains and valleys at a height of 3400 meters. Hatu peak can be reached by road. This road is surrounded by beautiful pines and deodar trees. Hatu peak is famous for nature walks, photography and enjoying panoramic views.

Hatu Mata Temple

Hatu Mata temple is located on the top of Hatu peak. This is an important religious place of Shimla at Narkanda. Hatu temple is a beautifully carved wooden temple. It offers a 360 view of neighboring mountains from its top. All the visitors of Hatu peak combine their trip with a Hatu Mata temple. The road to Hatu peak is steep so visitors should drive carefully.

Tani Jubbar Lake

Tani Jubbar lake is a peaceful lake away from the hustle and bustle of city life. This location is surrounded by pine and oak trees best for spending some quiet time away from crowded city. Thanedar

Thanedar is a beautiful hilly region famous for cultivation of apples. Stokes Farm and Apple Orchards

Thanedar is one of the popular regions of Shimla famous for apple cultivation. Samuel strokes known as Stayanand Stroke played an important role in the apple industry of Himachal Pradesh. Thanedar was the first place where apples were grown in Shimla. Visitors can visit the Apple orchard to experience the tranquility of Thanedar. Access to Apple orchards of private owners may be prohibited but you can see after getting permission from owners private orchards may require permission, so visitors should check before entering. This place is best for experiencing apple tourism, photography and learning local agriculture.

Narkanda Skiing Area

Narkanda is also famous for its skiing activity in Shimla in winters. In winters Narkanda becomes very attractive and full of skiing enthusiasts. People from all around India visit Nakanda for skiing and winter sports. However availability of snow activities depends on the weather and condition of snow. So if you travelling primarily for snow adventure check before departing.

Narkanda Forests
Narkanda is surrounded by a dense forest area. This area also became a tourist attraction because of its tranquility. There are small walking routes within the forest area to have a jungle walk. Also a drive through the forest area is enjoyable and worth a visit.

Narkanda Market
Narkanda has a small market but this area is worth visiting because of the atmosphere of this hill town. You can easily find products for your travel requirements, woolens and seasonal products. This market is also a convenient stoppage if you are going to Spiti and Kinnaur.

Jor Bagh

Jor Bagh or Jau bag in local language is a small meadow located 2 km above Hatu peak. It can be reached by taking a trekking route from the parking spot of Hatu peak. You can see a lush green view of Ratnari apple orchards. It takes 30 minutes to reach Jor Bagh from Hatu peak.

Mahamaya Temple, Kacheri

Mahamaya temple located in village Kacheri near to Narkanda. This temple is dedicated to Goddess Kali and built in the 10th century. The interior of the temple is antique and beautiful. This is well connected by road from Narkanda, Mahamaya temple worth a visit on your Narkanda trip
